1958 Chevrolet BelAir

58-chevy-2

I live in Italy, and love the American old cars. Back in 1985, my parents gave me this ’58 BelAir as a gift. This car has been built for Europe, and has got the speedometer in kilometers. It’s equipped with a small block 283, power glide transmission, power brakes, power windows, power steering and power front seat. The car has been sold in Rome in December 1957, and the first owner was a baron.

I repainted it once, because the color scheme was not correct, but then I found out that the top had to be gold instead of white. Other than this, and the normal maintenance, nothing else has been touched.

I had one in Highschool my Jr year 1966. Ill bet you dont see any in Italy. American cars must be expensive to find mechaics, operate ,get parts, for etc. I think mpg was 15 or so. Is it RHD? Lots of room to work on engine etc. Good find and in good condition youre fortunate.

I am in Benton, AR, and may have it’s cousin.i had one identical in high school, 1965, except that mine was all white. Found this one on ebay a few years back. It is having paint & body work done now. It will be white with black/grey interior, 283, power glide, power brakes, power steering, and manual windows. The one I am working on is white over bronze with original paint, interior, and running gear but will become white/white.

Hi, Earl. Unfortunately, at this time we do not accept PayPal. We do accept prepaid, debit, and credit cards. We are currently working on having PayPal implemented as a payment option in the future.

I’ve got my grandmother’s purchased new, 58 Delray 2 dr in Silver blue. I’d love to see a picture of the speedo in KMH! This one looks great. I put in disc brakes and rack & pinion. Pretty civilized.
