1967 Volvo Amazon

Oskar Snellman of Sweden shared photos of his 1967 Volvo Amazon. Many of us may be unfamiliar with this model, as outside of Sweden it is know as the 120-series Volvo. Oskar’s car is a fine example of the great styling of this car that reportedly was in part inspired by the design styling of mid-fifties Chrysler 300s.

I have owned about 6 of these. Absolutely bulletproof and a lot of fun to thrash about. Won lots of rallies until Datsun 510 came along

Grossly underrated here in Oz, maybe not the fastest thing on wheels or the most noble but able to deal with anything thrown at it and virtually bulletproof.

I owned a new 1967 Volvo '' Canadian 120 '' It was a great car. I did car rallies and Jimkannas and won a few prized with it. I saw one at a antique car show last weekend in Ste-Adele, Quebec, Canada.

Nice car! They are an awesome car. My brother in law had one back in the early seventies, dual carb six cylinder. Go like a skinned cat.

That looks very much like the Canadian model in the 60s. Four-cylinder, twin Weber carburetors, Standard transmission, with the shifter on the floor. There was a two door and a four door model. If I remember correctly
