It’s not my daily driver, but I do take it out on fair weather days and show it at coffee meets. It’s not a prize winning show car, but is a fun car to take out for Sunday drives. I will leave it to my grandson when I pass.

We plan to take Tweety toad from Florida every year, and participate in the occasional cruise in.

I bought this car 9/9/2003 as a replacement for the 1967 Mustang that someone hit while it was parked and totaled it in 1988. She had no insurance. I cashed in a pension of 15 years to use part of the money to purchase the car in 2003. It has a deluxe woodgrain interior with headrests, dual exhaust (X-pipe, Series 40 Flowmasters), Carroll Shelby hand-signed my dash while still alive, a Shelby console with Greenline gauges, Cobra wooden shift handle, Shelby swaybar, Koni front shocks, coil-assist rear shocks, and will soon undergo the transformation on the exterior to a Shelby coupe. Has a 289 4-BBL now, will have a 408 Stroker 4 BBL when done.

It took me twenty years of looking to find this car. I wanted one that hadn’t been restored because I wanted to know what I had to work with. I finally found this one down in Alabama. Six years and a bunch of work and dough later it’s a finished as it’ll ever be. It turns heads whenever it goes out. I’ve even been pulled over so the trooper could have a better look at it. It’s a sweet ride and I love driving it.

I have owned this car for 48 years. Remodeled houses, raised a family, paid for college for daughter, had vans in the 70’s, 62 Vette, 71 LT1 Vette. The coupe never left the garage. 8 years ago I decided it was finally my time. Boxed the frame and went to work. Ct car, much rust, a lot of body work later, this is the result.

This car has been nicknamed the BEAST because of the power it has. I built this car so I could mount the blower under the hood, instead of protruding through the hood. My ’57 is a fun car… a few upgrades over the past 20+ years, including F.I., 700R4, 4-wheel discs, Chevy rally wheels…interior…tinted glass…A/C,…a repaint and some re-chroming. All-in-all, a pretty straight Tri-Five with 76,000 original miles….and a fun car for Saturday night cruise-ins…or a Sunday afternoon drive to the Frosty Shack with friends.
My 1931 Model A replica, all fiberglass. Purchased as a basket case, installed all new wiring, rebuilt Chevy 283 with 350 trans. Straight axle front end, Chevy rear, custom interior, American Racing wheels. Completed in 2018.
This is the only muscle car ever driven into the former Soviet Union by its original owner, a Croatian escapee. That took some nerve but is typical of the original owners of these cars. Rebel Machines were marketed to a specific niche market who were according to my research, Type A personalities – especially for the Red, White and Blue versions. So the RWB cars were bought by extroverts and the solid colour Machines were bought by introverts. That still holds true today. The introverts mostly don’t like the stripe kit on my Machine but since I’m an original RWB owner and I make the stripes, too bad, so sad. Vince Geraci, AMCs designer said the only reason AMC didn’t offer stripe kits for the other colours of Machines from the factory was because they never thought of it. I think more of these cars would have been sold if they’d put the stripes on the other colours of Machines and even offered them in different colours. Since I make most of the body parts for these and other AMCs (as well as for other obscure 50s to 70s cars) if you find a rusty one, and want to restore it, yes you can still get new parts at rebelmachineparts.com
1961 Rambler American 400 Convertible with 350/350, full frame, Scott’s Hotrods IFS with Aldan Coil over shocks, PS, A/C, four-wheel disk brakes with electric booster, Currie 9″ rear end with 3:73 gears, American racing wheels 195/60/15 fronts and 245/55/16 rears.

1948 Lincoln Continental. Original V12 engine (last year of production by Ford) with standard 3-speed transmission and overdrive. Bought the car in September of 2016 and have been enjoying driving it since then. The car has an 06H Holley carb on it so I wouldn’t win any drag races but am retired so not in any hurry anyhow. The car has push buttons, from the factory, to open the doors and power windows. The windows were operated by hydraulics but I converted them to electric when the drivers side started leaking a bit.
My first Plymouth restoration of the exceedingly rare (as in 4 months of production and no separate numbers) Economy version of the all new steel body Plymouth for 1935. This was Chrysler’s first offering to the fleet car buyers (Taxi’s, Route Salesmen, Police and Fire departments, etc.) It was a hit and Chrysler dominated those markets for many years to come. This is the only operational (Correct drive train & other accoutrements) known to exist with only 6 operational coupes known to be registered. Now owned by a lady in Arizona.
I love driving my car to shows. I also plan on taking it the local children’s hospitals and giving out toy cars from the “Cars” movie. It is a clone restomod built by Petty, so it is and isn’t a real bird.
1965 Falcon convertible. 289 V8, 4 spd. 9″ rear. Purchased for $300 when I was 15yo. Am now 60 & still have the car. Looking forward to passing it along to my son when it’s time.

Stunning 1963 Chevrolet Corvette “Split Window” Coupe – The holy grail of Corvettes. The odometer shows 63,000 authentic miles with no documentation. Trim tag shows rare 932A Saddle Tan Paint and 490N Saddle Interior.
This car was built for vintage performance events. It reflects American road racing in the mid sixties. It has a Corvette engine and Muncie four speed with a full cage and two competition seats (so the ride can be shared)

I did this gorgeous half-cab 1964 4 x 4 International Harvester Scout 80 a few years ago.
This was a meticulous frame off, nut and bolt restoration. Nothing had been left untouched with every item having been replaced, reconditioned or upgraded.
It was a complete makeover from top to bottom and inside out, starting with an “exquisite and unique body color” (it was a real head turner). The full details with all the before and after photos are on my website, SonoranClassicRestorations.com (we are in the Scottsdale Airpark in Scottsdale, AZ). Thanks for checking this one out!
I fell in love with GTO’s when I was a kid, 10-12 years old. Saw my first one and it was a ’67. My Dad told me they began building hem in ’64 and a few years later I saw one and that was it. From that time on, I wanted and it had to be a 1964, 389 tri-power, 4 spd. Finally got around to being serious on getting one and the hunt was on. Found one in Massachusetts, I’m in Michigan and the drive was on. This was in 2001 and there’s been no looking back. Well there is, when I’m racing someone, lol. The engine is built and I have the pics from when it was. She has 12.5/1 pistons, heads are ported n polished, balanced, street cammed and she rocks ! I have to run av gas in her to keep her from spark knocking. Now, not only that, but my baby was built just one month before I was born. Just doesn’t get much better than that. My dream car and I’m the third owner.
This is my 1958 Cameo that I have owned since 1989. I have done 98% of all the work including the paint job, which is 27 years old. This truck has a 235 and 3 speed column shift.
I am the 2nd owner to this 1969 Camaro (250ci) which has been in the family since 1975. It is currently garaged and being restored by myself and my son.
Spent 3 years for a frame off restoration. Did everything myself except paint. I now have over 60,000 miles on it in the 12 years since it was finished. Now that I am retired I drive it every day.

First fell in love with a ’67 GTO when I was about 12. My Dad told me they began building them in 1964. Wasn’t long and I saw one and that was it. I just had to have one. About 20 years later, I found the one. She was built just one month before I was born, so we were meant to be. Still just under 20K original miles and I’m the third owner. 389 tri-power, 4 spd. One repaint since new, that’s it.

This is still a work in progress, but I am very close to cranking it up and actually driving it out of the shop. The interior still needs to be completed but all of the upholstery is done and just needs to be installed. I am very pleased as to how the paint turned out since this is the first one I’ve tried painting myself. Go Packard!!
I have two 54 F100s, the one in the photo and a White one being juiced up with a Mustang II IFS, 9″ rear, and a 302 on a C4. The Red one is stock and delivered from Ford with only the plans for the bed. The truck was for delivering bundles of newspapers for delivery Boys Newspaper routes.

The SSR was the only new car I’ve purchased from a dealer, my mid-life crisis car when turning 50. Who knew that turning 60 would inspire another mid-life crisis car? That time a classic C3, the final year of that model. Everybody needs a hobby!
Owned since 2002, all matching numbers, 289, 4 speed, Air, stereo, 4 barrel, electronic ignition, great condition, driven, not a trailer queen. Great ride.

The car has push buttons, from the factory, to open the doors and power windows. The windows were operated by hydraulics but I converted them to electric when the drivers side started leaking a bit.

Just my old rides

First fell in love with a ’67 GTO when I was about 12. My Dad told me they began building them in 1964. Wasn’t long and I saw one and that was it. I just had to have one. About 20 years later, I found the one. She was built just one month before I was born, so we were meant to be. Still just under 20K original miles and I’m the third owner. 389 tri-power, 4 spd.
