Bought a vaccuum gauge that fit in the clock bezel from a donor car junkyard. No AC or console or power brakes or power steering. True armstrong driving! It would go 0 to 60 in about 9 seconds. Had to repair rust where moisture inside the trunk would collect on the inside of the trunk lid near the tailights. Wonder if others had that problem. Also frame was cracked and welded above rear axle. As a teenager I learned a lot about cars from it.

My sister drove a silver 65 Impala with a 327. It wouldhave been my first car but was sold for a 66 El Camino needed for our business. I own a 81 El Camino for the past 30 years but would have loved to have kept the Impala.

I had a 65 Impla SS with the 327 and powerglide. Gave it up for an engine job on my daily driver right before I got married

My dad bought a new 66′ Caprice Coup, special order sport. Black on Black with Black interior, red pin stripes down the length of the car. What made it a sport is it came with bucket seats, floor shift automatic, full vinal top, and the kicker, 390 hp 407 with dual exhaust.

I think it is very stock but my radiator top
hose connects to the radiator on the driver side unlike most pictures I have seen of the 65 327’s I’ve seen. As a result I can’t find a fan shroud to fit ?? Any help out there????
Thank you
Gene
