I love driving my car to shows. I also plan on taking it the local children’s hospitals and giving out toy cars from the “Cars” movie. It is a clone restomod built by Petty, so it is and isn’t a real bird.
My first Plymouth restoration of the exceedingly rare (as in 4 months of production and no separate numbers) Economy version of the all new steel body Plymouth for 1935. This was Chrysler’s first offering to the fleet car buyers (Taxi’s, Route Salesmen, Police and Fire departments, etc.) It was a hit and Chrysler dominated those markets for many years to come. This is the only operational (Correct drive train & other accoutrements) known to exist with only 6 operational coupes known to be registered. Now owned by a lady in Arizona.
1948 Lincoln Continental. Original V12 engine (last year of production by Ford) with standard 3-speed transmission and overdrive. Bought the car in September of 2016 and have been enjoying driving it since then. The car has an 06H Holley carb on it so I wouldn’t win any drag races but am retired so not in any hurry anyhow. The car has push buttons, from the factory, to open the doors and power windows. The windows were operated by hydraulics but I converted them to electric when the drivers side started leaking a bit.

I think more of these cars would have been sold if they’d put the stripes on the other colours of Machines and even offered them in different colours. Since I make most of the body parts for these and other AMCs (as well as for other obscure 50s to 70s cars) if you find a rusty one, and want to restore it, yes you can still get new parts at rebelmachineparts.com

Classic Restoration Club is a real asset to us car-nuts…a lot of helpful tips and great articles, etc.. My ’57 is a fun car… a few upgrades over the past 20+ years, including F.I., 700R4, 4-wheel discs, Chevy rally wheels…interior…tinted glass…A/C,…a repaint and some re-chroming. This car has been nicknamed the BEAST because of the power it has. I built this car so I could mount the blower under the hood, instead of protruding through the hood. Except for the wheels & tires, this car is completely 1957 showroom stock on the exterior.

Started restoring this 1999 Tahoe in 2013. It’s just about finished. Working on the interior now. It’s a 2dr / 2wheel drive. The last year of this body style.
I have owned this car for 48 years. Remodeled houses, raised a family, paid for college for daughter, had vans in the 70’s, 62 Vette, 71 LT1 Vette. The coupe never left the garage. 8 years ago I decided it was finally my time. Boxed the frame and went to work. Ct car, much rust, a lot of body work later, this is the result.
It took me twenty years of looking to find this car. I wanted one that hadn’t been restored because I wanted to know what I had to work with. I finally found this one down in Alabama. Six years and a bunch of work and dough later it’s a finished as it’ll ever be. It turns heads whenever it goes out. I’ve even been pulled over so the trooper could have a better look at it. It’s a sweet ride and I love driving it.

I bought this car 9/9/2003 as a replacement for the 1967 Mustang that someone hit while it was parked and totaled it in 1988. She had no insurance. I cashed in a pension of 15 years to use part of the money to purchase the car in 2003. It has a deluxe woodgrain interior with headrests, dual exhaust (X-pipe, Series 40 Flowmasters), Carroll Shelby hand-signed my dash while still alive, a Shelby console with Greenline gauges, Cobra wooden shift handle, Shelby swaybar, Koni front shocks, coil-assist rear shocks, and will soon undergo the transformation on the exterior to a Shelby coupe. In the 60s, while in high school, I owned a 1964 Falcon convertible and always regretted selling her. Last winter, while wintering in Florida, I found my ’64 Comet Caliente convertible (Tweety), which is pretty much the same as my Falcon. We plan to take Tweety toad from Florida every year, and participate in the occasional cruise in.

The original 221 V-8 has been updated to a rebuilt and modified 302 , the motor is producing approx.340 HP and 350 ft. lbs of torque. The original Fomco 2 speed automatic has been replaced with a T-5 5 speed manual transmission ,.. this is not a race car but is fun to drive. The car has had many upgrades and the process is continuing, next phase is to rebuild the stock 8″ rear end and upgrade to 355 gears and limited slip ( just for fun). Down the road I will do further upgrades such and modern disc power brakes all around and a possible upgrade to a Mustang 2 style front suspension with modern rack & Pinion power Steering
This is a great city car. It catches every eye. Very smooth driving with “free-wheel” shifting and lots of pull from the 2.1litre 6. Gentleman’s Club interior with lots of English Walnut and perfect supple new burgundy leather.
1966 Corvette 427, 4 speed, #’s matching, currently undergoing a face lift. Body stripped to glass, all imperfections addressed, and stock Laguna Blue paint was applied. The car was customized in 1967 with the wheel flares, rear spoiler, 6 tail lights, headlights moved opposite sides of grille. Car is originally from Connecticut and was always a street racer. It was painted metallic purple, and had Purple Haze painted on the sides.
My first classic car in over 30 years. It’s great to feel the history of cars when I am out driving this 56. I use this as an everyday driver with no intention of making this a show car and using it on every other Sunday. This car needs to be enjoyed and shared.
This car is a total body off resto mod. Every nut and bolt has been touched, and no corners were cut. List of parts and upgrades is large and complete.

My 64 Buick Riviera. I bought this car in 2011 from the nephew of the original owner. The color was changed by the nephew to this shade of blue in 1995. Original color was code nn Coral Mist. It is equipped with the 425 ci nail head and turbo 400 trans. The engine produces 465 lb ft torque and 340 hp. It’s a numbers matching engine trans and rear differential, all original to the car. It has factory air conditioning power windows and power seat, tilt steering wheel with factory wheel covers. I paid $7500.00 for the car showing 27000 miles on the odometer but not varified. It needs a new paint job, which will be the original color. The interior is original to the car in code 308 black vinyl. It’s not my daily driver, but I do take it out on fair weather days and show it at coffee meets. It’s not a prize winning show car, but is a fun car to take out for Sunday drives. I will leave it to my grandson when I pass.

God bless America
