1968 Chevrolet Camaro

I bought my Camaro in Los Angeles, CA about 3 years ago. It had exactly what I was looking for in a really clean body. Shortly after purchasing it, a big block Chevrolet 427 cubic inch engine with a 454 steel crankshaft which, that was fully internally and externally balanced with forged aluminum JE 12.5 to 1 pistons, holding them are Manley steel rods +400th in length, the heads are Merlin cast iron with one piece steel valves and Team G manifold and 1050 Holley Dominator carburetor. The engine produces about 750 to 800+ HP, bolted behind the beast is a TH400 with a 5500 stall convertor and reverse pattern shift and in the rear is a 12-Bolt Differential with 4.11 Richmond gears.

Nice car Steve, I now own my high school dream car A 1967 rally sport coupe. Building a small block v-eight with double roller mild cam and backed with a four speed Muncie transmission. Just a big boy toy to enjoy.

F Bodies rule! Mine is a Firebird same 1968 but a convertible. I had a 67 when in high school and washed dishes/delivered pizzas to pay for it. Sold it because it was in bad shape. Waited 30 years to see another vert come up for sale, right time right financial position and bought it. These are fun sexy cars and make you appreciate how far we've come in the automotive world. No cup holders, heated seats or leather interiors. Just a connection between man and machine no matter how raw and ready.

One of my friends in high school had a 68 Camaro SS 396 this very color, except with the black vinyl top. That was my dream car for years. I ended up with a 69 RS/SS. Very nice, couldn't help but stare and smile. Thanks

I have a '68 RS/SS with a 327 ci & high compression heads with a 2-bbl that only runs on premium gas! Nice to see a '68 getting some press! They are too often ignored everywhere....
