1966 Chevrolet Impala Convertible

66-impala-lead I bought this beauty in 1990 with only 34,000 original miles on the odometer, in the years since I have accumulated a total of 56,000 happy miles with friends and family on her now.

66-impala2I am the please to be only the third owner of this gently used beauty and have left her mostly stock. The kids and I love to take “Molly” to the drive-in movies, car shows, and to the beach. I also bring her to the fire station where I’ve been a firefighter for 27 years and the guys love her. She’s a keeper!

I was wondering what the back story on the car is. My grandfather had this exact car, he sold it to a man in Indianapolis, Indiana back in about 1983. That owner was in an accident and the front fender was damaged. It was never seen again. Just wondering if this is that car?

Nice car. I like the colour. I am just putting all my chrome back on my 66 Caprice 2DR Hardtop. I painted it Dark Cherry Pearl Metallic. Would love to share pictures of resto. Only 30,000 original miles. I love Impala’s, Caprice’s, and similar sedan from Pontiac back in the day.
