1969 Datsun Roadster 2000

1969 Datsun Roadster 2000I bought this 1969 Datsun Roadster 2000 in 2012. It was quite a wreck… faded blue paint job, rust holes in a couple spots in right rear 1/4 panel, trashed interior and top, and chicken feathers throughout. I stripped everything off and had a complete body and paint job done. I freshened up the motor, put new carbs on, added an electronic distributer, new brake shoes, and a new top. I gutted the interior, installed sound deadening material, put in all new carpets, seats and vinyl. Hopefully this winter I’ll pull the motor and tranny for a rebuild. Right now she’s a great little ride but with a rebuilt motor and tranny she’ll be an amazing little ride.

P.S. I’ll be picking up a 1966 Mustang to add to the stable in a couple weeks!

I'm a zcarnut. Hear the roadsters are a lot of fun to drive and quite quick when given proper rebuild attention. Keep it up! Datsun - We Are Driven! :)

Saw in a car mag in Vietnam. Dreamed of getting it. Bought new in 1969 when I got home. Wish I could have kept it, but had to get a "family" car. How I loved that car!
