I am 80 years young, and have always driven street rods. My last street rod was a 1936 Olds 4 Dr. Salon, with Chevrolet driveline. Having owned and driven it for over 9 years, I wanted out of the hot rod era, and buy a completely stock 50’s or 60’s vehicle. After selling the Olds, I looked in vain for a Rambler Marlin. They are quite rare, as they were only made for 3 years, “65 thru “67.” Living in Wisconsin all my life, I wanted a Kenosha car! I finally found what I wanted, in Concord, N.C., at Morrison Motors.
It was an amateur restoration, done by 2 guys, in their yard! Not a perfect restoration, but a very nice, straight vehicle, with the 232 cubic inch Jeep engine, with a 2-speed Borg Warner transmission. I never had a vehicle that attracted so much attention! I was interviewed by Old Cars weekly magazine, and they put the Marlin in their magazine! The vehicle will also be in the July issue of the 2021 Old Car Weekly calendar.
