Mr. Fix-it’s Corvette Passion

I have always been a “Mr fix-it” kind of guy and never afraid to take on any project big or small. I purchased a 1976 Chevrolet Corvette with lots of problems… but I could fix it. Before I knew it I ended up taking the ‘Vette down to the bare frame. Then rebuilt everything except the transmission, although I had a shift kit added to it. The ‘Vette was equipped with extra heavy sway bars front and rear. It was a blast to drive. I enjoyed driving that car so much, I drove it all way to Colorado, Yellowstone, Arizona and back home. My wife said it was a three-book vacation and she only had two.

I worked on the ‘Vette nearly every day. More recently I rebuilt a 2001 Cadillac Eldorado. Both cars have since moved to New owners. I still have a 1968 Corvette convert with 21k miles. Have performed preventive maintenance like replacing all weather stripping and window felts and dew wipers.

I also own a 1986 Suzuki Cavalcade motorcycle that I have done all upgrades, safety and mechanical too. The bike has 78k miles on it but remains a blast to drive.

I have been married for 43 glorious years, and am currently 76 years young, I worked as a maintenance electrician by trade, 20 years, I retired as a maintenance supervisor in 1997.

“Can’t” is not in my vocabulary.
