Disc brakes offer better stopping characteristics, run cooler and less prone to brake fade, and are easier to service. These advantages make them commonplace on most modern cars but also the “Number 1” upgrade most classic car enthusiasts make to their cars. We improved our project ’67 Mustang with a set of new rear disc brakes, but couldn’t resist stiffening up the chassis too, with a set of subframe connectors to connect the cars front and rear subframes together to add rigidity and improve handling.
