I currently own a 66 Caprice sport sedan that's highly unusal..It has a 396 and 3 speed trans..with power steering, triple black..one of 1443 big blocks with a 3 speed on the column..quite rare, and it's in 'survivor' condition..may cnsider selling it fir a more 'turnkey' example.
In the 70’s I owned a white Impala red interior with a 283 and 4 speed. Bought a vaccuum gauge that fit in the clock bezel from a donor car junkyard. No AC or console or power brakes or power steering. True armstrong driving! It would go 0 to 60 in about 9 seconds. Had to repair rust where moisture inside the trunk would collect on the inside of the trunk lid near the tailights. Wonder if others had that problem. Also frame was cracked and welded above rear axle. As a teenager I learned a lot about cars from it.
If anyone is looking to buy a VERY nice ‘65 Impala SS automatic center console, please contact me. Steve-602-717-9135
Nice car. I had a 65 Impla SS with the 327 and powerglide. Gave it up for an engine job on my daily driver right before I got married
I have a 1965 Impala SS with only 21000 miles on it. I think it is very stock but my radiator top hose connects to the radiator on the driver side unlike most pictures I have seen of the 65 327’s I’ve seen. As a result I can’t find a fan shroud to fit ?? Any help out there???? Thank you Gene
I have a 65 Impala 4dr HDTP and a 65 Biscayne 4DR, the Biscayne is a driver with the six cyd. The Impala is a project in its self.
